You can then contact these wholesalers to see if they are quitting and inquire about setting up an account.

The fewer people you need, the lower your costs will be, allowing you to be more competitive in the market.

3. Have a productive first contact with a drop shipping supplier

Take the list of wholesale distributors you obtained from the manufacturer and start contacting each of them dropship custom t-shirts. What you are looking for are minimum order requirements and their wholesale unit prices.

To get the best answers, be honest about what you're looking for (don't try to look "bigger" than you are), keep your emails short and to the point, and be friendly. 7. Join groups, forums, and other professional networks.

Other retailers are not willing to share supplier information with their competitors, so it will take networking to find the best possible wholesale suppliers for your small business.

Start building relationships with industry insiders and eventually you will be one of those insiders. Participate in online forums, build your LinkedIn Profile and start making connections, subscribe to industry newsletters and generally build your professional network.

8. Subscribe to all trade publications in your industry

Get every magazine or newsletter targeting retailers in your area. Each magazine advertiser will be a manufacturer or distributor of print on demand products seeking to contact you.

You should have a few dozen options among the ads in the back of the magazine. In addition, subscribe to all the newsletters, blogs and other online sources of information available to you.
